oh and Babangida as well. haha, these names for strikers make me weep with frustration on some of the shit we've wasted money on.
Lua Lua did well I think. Decent performances, especially in the Champions League. Ok, he didn't score a lot and sometimes we wouldn't pass to his teammates, but his role was to support Kovacevic by creating chances for him or causing havoc in the opponent's defence so that other players could find an open space to score.

Perhaps in his first visit to the club but he tailed off in the season and we didn't even place him on the bench for the cup final vs Aris after his outbursts off the pitch. On the second time, he was truly awful. I felt bad donating a framed picture of his signed shirt to the Nikaia G7 club after seeing him for the second time he was here.

Don't forget though that season 09/10 was a disaster for the entire team and, to be honest, I don't remember any member of that squad having a great season as well.
Anyway, undoubtedly the club has seen many better players than Lua Lua but I think that he doesn't deserve to be on a list along with players like D'Acol or Kuzba.

Sorry for the blasphemous interruption(I pray to Dani you'll forgive me) but ,Marcus, you've got to understand that for a lot of us Lua Lua is a vital part of the 2007-08 CL games with Lemonis. Not to mention that he had some amazing skills and was a really great guy.
Personally speaking one of my all-time favourites.
And I don't think it's really fair to judge him by his second time. The whole team was a mess back then...

LuaLua was a great player but unfortunately for him he wasn't very professional. He was a great guy but he couldn't make it to practice on time. His song however is great!
The best bad striker we ever had was easily Edvaldo, a brazilian who played for the team in the early '90s. He had come from Porto with high expectations (that was before the internet and youtube existed) and he failed miserably inspiring some pretty funny songs.
I was wondering what happened to him and I found out that after leaving our club for the second time in 2010 he played in Cyprus for one year (under Lemonis) and last year he played for Blackpool. He now plays for Karabukspor in Turkey.
And here's another awesome video with LuaX2
